Headlining Asolo's newly named Performance Mountaineering line, the Freney Evo Mountaineering Boot combines climbing and backpacking features in a comfortable, lightweight package. The premium Vibram 1229 Mulaz outsoles offer specialized traction for technical terrain while polyurethane inserts stiffen the boots to use with hybrid, semi-automatic crampons. At the same time, Asolo designed the boot to be lighter and more flexible than traditional mountaineering boots for better comfort while still boasting water-resistant Perwanger leather uppers, abrasion-resistant synthetic mesh, and breathable GORE-TEX waterproofing for mountain-worthy protection. All this adds up to a performance mountaineering boot with the versatility to handle alpine hiking, via ferrata, and demanding treks with heavy packs.
